I wasn’t sure what to get my husband for Valentines Day until I saw the perfect ad. It said “This year, get them the gift they’ll really enjoy. Get them the golf gift”. I knew my husband liked the game; he and his friends played it every Saturday. The gift package included two golf clubs, a few balls, a bag to carry it all in, even a golf rain suit! I knew he would enjoy this because there have been times when he wasn’t able to play on account of bad weather. I was so excited to get him the gift that I didn’t even look at the price tag. I just went to the nearest sports goods store, took it off the shelf, and swiped my credit card. I went to get it professionally wrapped, with silver and pink wrapping paper. I then went to the store and bought a sweet card, with some verses of poetry in it. When Valentines Day finally arrived, I gave the present to my husband lovingly and excitedly. I rushed him to open it, waiting to see what his reaction would be. He was delighted! He told me over and over again what a great woman I was, and that I was the best wife in the world. And to tell you the truth, I’d have to agree with him on that.
