I have heard of all sorts of crazy treatment plans but VH1s Celebrity Rehab with Doctor Drew sure takes the cake.  The fact that reality television has gotten to this point is ridiculous.  I do not even know why these so-called celebrities would agree to go on such a show.  Why make such a horrible, private thing like rehab public?  I think that some of them do genuinely want to get better, and make a change in their life, but if some one them are there because they see this as their last chance to get back into the spotlight then there is a serious problem.  I have no idea how the Baldwin brothers allowed Daniel to be on that show, what an embarrassment to their family!  I think that the one positive part of this show is the effect that it can have on others with addiction problems.  If people are able to see what rehab is like, and what other people like them have gone through, then maybe they will be more likely to seek help.  Regardless of the actual benefits, some of the unintentional comedy on the show is priceless.  The fact that so many people find such a show might say less about our culture than more people are willing to admit.
